Doctoral Psychology Internship Program & Application

The LETC Doctoral Psychology Internship Program

Brooklyn, NY โ€” Crown Heights

The League Education and Treatment Center (LETC) Doctoral Psychology Internship Program has three internship positions to be filled for the 2022-2023 year.

The internship program provides comprehensive and sequential training to prepare competent clinical practitioners capable of functioning in a dynamic and challenging special needs school setting. The programโ€™s primary objectives are to train interns in the requisite diagnostic and treatment skills for collaborative work within a multi-disciplinary team while maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethics. The program provides a structured and supportive environment and works with interns to gain competence in diagnosis and assessment as well as individual, group, and family psychotherapy. In addition, interns will develop greater competence in research, diversity, supervision, program development, consultation, crisis intervention, and case management. Interns will receive training at the Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery (JFTN) and the League School and Day Treatment Center.

LETC has been improving the lives of children and adults with emotional and developmental disabilities for over 60 years.
