Our first annual Fitness Fest was June 22nd, 2015.

We're grateful to everyone who helped us raise over $6,700 to fund our preschool's educational field trips. Special thanks to Morgan Stanley for their generous contributions. And congratulations to classrooms 1, 3 and 4 for earning the top spots in our classroom competition!

If you missed the 2015 event and would still like to support our preschool program, please visit our donation page.

Support Our Annual Fitness Fest

Our friends at Morgan Stanley will join us at 10am on Monday, June 22nd for a day of track and field fun!  We'll travel across the street to our local track to walk, run, dance, and more. This is a rain or shine event; we'll practice our fitness skills indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate. And when it's all over, we’ll celebrate with an awards ceremony and light refreshments in classrooms.

What's a Fitness Fest?

Our field trips bring ideas to life for children. They’re experiences designed to reinforce essential concepts about social skills, fitness, and communication.
— Dr. Christie Sosnowski, JFTN Treatment Coordinator

Fitness Fest is a day to celebrate all we've learned this spring about fitness and nutrition. Our preschoolers have been studying fitness and nutrition as part of the Creative Curriculum. Our recent trip to the Big Apple Circus was a demonstration of real world fitness skills — from trapeze artists to jugglers and contortionists. Fitness Fest is a continuation of our fitness studies, and a fundraiser to support future field trips.

Field trips like the circus trip help make abstract concepts concrete for children. We use the outings to build on the lessons we teach students every day. They are also opportunities for children to practice social skills, explore exciting new environments and strengthen relationships with the parents and caregivers who join us.

As valuable as these trips are for children's education, they can be costly. Our last trip cost nearly $5,000 for transportation and ticketing!

That's why we need your help.

We're welcoming donations in any amount to support our field trips. League Education & Treatment Center is a 501(c)3 organization, and all donations are tax deductible. Thank you!
