JFTN parents, please join us for a special Art of Parenting group. Dance/Music Therapy Intern Alana Henderson will lead a Music Together session this Friday.
What is Music Together?
Music Together is an early childhood music and movement program for children and their caregivers. Music Together was first offered to the public in 1987. It introduced a research-based music curriculum with an emphasis on adult participation.
What is The Art of Parenting?
Our Art of Parenting group gives JFTN parents the chance to explore creative arts therapies with their children.
Each Friday morning, our therapists and interns work with you and your child to explore a particular theme. We provide art materials and a structured environment for creative expression. We share projects you can do at home with your child and discuss the benefits of creative, therapeutic activities for students, parents, and siblings.
Activities include visual arts and movement exercises. We tailor activities to the needs of individual students and family members, and we respect everyone's abilities. All ranges of movement and expression are welcome.
If you have questions about The Art of Parenting, please email Creative Arts Therapy Supervisor Kimberly Bush.
